Our family favorite: Sicamous Beach Park

Time flies…a few years ago when we moved here, one of the first beaches we visited as a family was Sicamous Beach Park. Just a few turns off the Trans Canada Highway lies Sicamous Beach Park, an enchanting local gem that demands your attention. Nestled along the shores of Shuswap Lake, this picturesque haven is a must-visit destination, offering a perfect blend of natural beauty and recreational amenities.

As you take the short detour from the highway, Sicamous Beach Park welcomes you with one of the finest sandy stretches in British Columbia. Kick off your shoes and embark on a stroll along the pristine white sand, relishing every step in this idyllic setting.
Situated on a river delta, Sicamous Beach Park presents a haven of amenities to enhance your beach experience. The footpath along the lake's edge is adorned with picnic tables, volleyball nets, a dedicated swim area, and even a splash park for added enjoyment. During the right season, you might be lucky enough to stumble upon wild raspberries, adding a touch of nature's bounty to your visit.

Sicamous Beach Park offers more than just a beach experience. A short walking path leads to the marina, providing captivating views of the Sicamous Narrows. The park is thoughtfully equipped with a playground, benches, picnic tables, and public washrooms, creating an inviting atmosphere for families and friends. While dogs are welcome, a leash is a must to ensure everyone's safety.

Sicamous Beach Park invites you to savor ice cream cones, watch houseboats lazily navigating the waters, and immerse yourself in the unparalleled views of the Shuswap. Whether you're a local seeking a quick retreat or a traveler passing through, this park promises a delightful escape into the natural wonders of British Columbia. So, make the time to stop, unwind, and let Sicamous Beach Park weave its magic around you.

**For those traveling west on the Trans Canada Highway, make a left turn onto Gill Ave followed by a right onto Finlayson St will guide take you there. As you continue straight, the parking lot is on the right. If it’s full, overflow parking and designated areas for trailers and boats are located to the right**
